We combined the existing kitchen and dining room space to create one large open room with seated island and custom banquette seating with storage for arts and crafts and board games. The l-shaped blue island is a great space for a quick bite or to gather when entertaining and together with the pantry provides ample storage. Every growing family needs a mudroom and we were able to carve out a corner outside the kitchen to neatly house coats and gear. The custom mantle in the living room adds a graceful central focal point.
