We completely gutted this basement and started from scratch! Cool features include a built-in game/crafting table, a cozy, under stair reading nook, custom bench seating that doubles as storage, a bar area with reclaimed wood bar top, custom bookshelves around the previously non-existent fireplace, along with a custom built entertainment center, a convenient, built in kitchen nook and more! In addition, 1. The duct work had to be reconfigured and custom manufactured to remove the eyesore that existed before and still allow functionality. 2. The concrete had to be busted up, removed and replaced in the new bathroom area. 3. There was a huge brick bar that had to be busted up and removed. 4. There wasn't a space for a bathroom, so we made one. 5. This was a fun project from design to completion.
