Family Buffet Re-imagined
If you can imagine it, these use to be doors on an old family buffet (as shown in 2nd picture). It was passed down from grandparents to their children and then those children passed it down to their children. All that moving, the piece had sustained a substantial amount of water damage, making it really expensive to save. On top of that it was a really large piece that even after several homes, they really didn't have the space to put anywhere.
Not wanting to get rid of it, we proposed we save the best parts... the doors. The doors have the kind of craftsmanship that's hard to find these days and they hold all the family's memories.
We stripped them, sanded them down, and then just put some linseed oil on them to bring out their natural colors.
Now they have a permanent place in the home, where they can be remembered and enjoyed. ❤
