Feature Scape Project

Magnificent outdoor feature scape project completed recently in our landscape supply yard here in North Fremantle. Designed by Perth Landscape Design stalwart Haughty Culture as part of a design competition held with the Western Australian Landscape Design Association (WALDA) and constructed with assistance from various local businesses.
The project took 18 months to complete from the demolition of the site until the completion just 1 week ago.
The brief was to incorporate many of the products that we sell and to create a space that could conceivably be built into a residential project.
Some of the key components to the space include the 6 metre polished concrete, gabion, steel, recycled beer bottle and Ord River stone bar. A portion of the bar structure incorporates 2058 Corona Beer bottles that are through lit with metres of full spectrum led lights. Visually, this is the key focal structure which when standing at it offers full uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.
There are many gabion features in the space including a bench / garden seat using railway sleepers and South West River Stone as the corner pieces.
We have extensively used stabilised gravel throughout the floor areas in fine quarry gravel (red) and Summerstone Fines (creme quartz).
Some other key features include jarrah sleeper bridges that cross a dry creek bed of 26 metres and lead to secret children's play sand pit.

All of the ground plants are native to Western Australia.
