Fire Door in Surrey
Our Knaphill client had only purchased this ground floor flat 3 months before so was in the process of bringing it up to a habitable standard. As part of this process, a replacement for the old timber door was required. However, fire regulations require that the front door on each individual flat within a block of flats is a fire door. As the flat’s previous owner had been burgled, not only was a door with at least 30 minutes of fire resistance required, but security was of paramount importance too.
However, fire was not the only thing this flat was protected from. Rigorous protection from unwanted intrusions – and another burglary – is also in place, thanks to an ultra-dense timber core, stable inner frame, and aluminium hinge & lock plates. Aesthetically, the white woodgrain effect finish and sleek chrome handle ensured the look of the door was understated yet stylish.
