The owners of the Flintridge house purchased an existing mid-century house and wanted to create a space where the family could share their passion for restoring cars. A new garage was an essential part of the family togetherness activities and grew to include a game room and sport court. The interior of the existing house was entirely remodeled to include a contemporary vocabulary. The exterior was designed with a new steel and screen addition and included an exterior two-story stair and climbing vines, which were woven into the stair screening material.
