The plan for this home initially called for straight stairs, however, things changed during the project and a curved stair was requested instead.

With the home walls and drywall already in place, we needed to create a curved stair that would meet building and safety codes while also reinforcing the elegance of the home.

We built what is called a fluent maple stair with open rise convex maple treads. The wood grains are beautifully displayed in these long curved stair stringers while the metal spindles add a touch of contrast to the rich maple wood.
