This is a wonderful example of "Mountain Modern Design". We were able to add the warmth of natural walnut in juxtaposition to the modern melamine cabinets. The design has a few rustic barn wood pieces that adds to the mountain feel. The back of the island, the trim on the hood and the structural beam between the living and dining room were all wrapped with the reclaimed wood. The design is a blend that will stand the test of time.
