The driving force behind the design is our continued pursuit to create very site-specific architecture that is sensitive to the land’s inherent character. We knew the varying contours of the mountainside setting would allow for wonderful views and could contribute to the overall character of the home. We also used natural light as a form-defining element and allowed it to enter the home in unique and unexpected ways.
Our intent was for the architecture to express the fact that this home can only exist for these individual clients, at this particular time, at this specific location…and that is as it should be.
