This was a fun Master bedroom, because it is my own. Of course, I have to use the color Red, but I find that it acts as a great accent color. I went with a more of a denim blue and had pictures taken of my husband and I to decorate with. This is a great space for him and I to relax. We both couldn't agree on a chandelier and fan, we wanted both. So, I designed our night stand lighting using these chandeliers and we had our electrician put light switches with dimmers on each side so we could adjust our own personal light. I LOVE this and then we have our fan for the hot summer months and the fan is beautiful as well. I do sell home lighting and use all the lines personally, throughout my home. I love my beautiful wrought iron headboard from another furniture line that I carry. I mix and matched the set with different bombe chests to act as night stands, because I felt like I needed a bigger scaled piece and I wanted more storage and I like them being higher up since my mattress sets higher. The drapes were also all custom made by me personally and I love pleated drapes with the rings look, very classy. The Forever saying, is our wedding song title and brings the personal touch to our shared space. When considering your Master Bedroom, I recommend it being a space that reminds you of why your married and what you love about each other. Leave the kids photos out of this space, just make it about the two of you. The master bath also coordinates the same color tones. And I do love making custom pillows for the bed, I make them more like slip covers, so when I do switch out my bedding, I only have to change up a few pillow fabrics and the rest is all neutral such as the comforters, main pillow cases, and sheets, white was my preference for this room because it brought a clean and bright look. I have now replaced the treadmill with a big dresser chest that matches my bed, now that our basement is finished. But, it was nice being reminded that I need to do my workout every time I got out of bed, but I don't recommend putting it into your bedroom, unless you really need the motivation. Play up the ceiling in your room and use paint colors to give dimensions and added design. Also, decorative paint designs and bring style to your walls.
