The front door had no architectural presence or scale with the front of the house. Additionally, it had no protection from the weather and was deteriorating.

We widened the trim, added an awning with heavy brackets and a standing metal seam roof. Clear stained wood Simpson door and sidelights were chosen to match the two over two rhythm of the flanking windows.
