Galley Kitchen Remodel Before and After

1950's Galley kitchen extensive remodel using Frameless full overlay cabinetry and Zodiaq countertops with a mitered edge..
The cabinets are a Rustic Cherry with Buckskin Glaze

Before shot of the sink wall. The entry way was removed to give a more open feel to the dining nook and living room.

Before shot of the laundry room door at the opposite end of the kitchen. The door was replaced with a pocket door and shifted to the right to allow for the bank of pantry storage.

After shot of the Range and Pantry wall. Lots of large drawers were used for pot and pan storage as well as dishes. The dish drawer opens up directly across from the dishwasher for easy unloading.

Before shot of the small eat in kitchen area which was replaced with an additional small pantry and the refrigerator. this allowed for the counter space to double in the kitchen and the storage capacity was increased almost 3 fold.

Scalloped furniture toe was added to all the toe kicks. Tucked behind is a sub toe to keep items from rolling under the cabinetry.

A double stacked crown was used to accomodate fluctuations in the ceiling on this 1950's home. A wood trim light valance was added to finish off the upper cabinets and give them a Flush inset feel.

A new Laundry upper and linen cabinet (not shown) we added. centered on the laundry upper cabinet was a pull out rod for hanging clothes.
