Small builder grade cabinets with no drawer storage had these homeowners frustrated. Removing a window at the end of the space allowed us to extend the cabinets and wrap them around. We relocated the refrigerator across from the stove, instead of right next to it, to allow counter space for food prep. The small closet pantry was converted into a mini-bar and a built-in pantry was added next to the refrigerator. The step-up bar top behind the sink was eliminated and the new countertop was extended to create a much better space for food prep and setting up a buffet.
