The garage addition was added in 2014, and was a much-needed addition to complete the comfort and safety of the home. There had not been a garage previously. The garage houses two cars and has a very comfortable and functional attic space to store suitcases, holiday decorations, etc. The team also added a sliding glass window from the dining area to the patio. They reconfigured, re-bricked and landscaped the patio area, creating a spacious and comfortable outdoor space for entertaining. The existing landscaping mound was eliminated and the old root cellar was preserved, with the addition of a concrete floor and electricity. The root cellar can now function both as storage and as an emergency shelter.
