I was hired by this client after they opened a wall between the kitchen and existing living room, and were having trouble figuring out how to seamlessly blend the two rooms. At the end of the kitchen, we added a banquette to give open ended seating that could be accessed by both rooms. The fireplace was redesigned, and we added new furniture in a better layout to create more conversation areas. Now the space has a "great room" feel that is perfect for every day living as well as entertaining.
