Gladstone Staging Project

We arrived at Gladstone Avenue to find a family well lived home. Between children, grand children and pets this home was a hub. but like a favorite pair of jeans to sell them we must fix the holes in the knees! Our clients were moving in the height of the pandemic and budget was top of mind. We took this sturdy 1960's bungalow and shipped it into shape with modern neutrals, a splash of colour and taking rooms previously used for storage and repurposing them back to being part of what made this home a winning design when it was built.

An unused basement with tons of potential. Staging this space by spending some money made our home owners thrilled because they got more than they bargained for on the sale price. Staging works!

The Entry hall needed to be a show stopper! We used a very hard wearing floor paint and gave these stairs a modern update by painting them black. This bungalow with a traditional layout is suddenly parachuted into a new era with this simple update.

Despite black soaking up much of the light, we kept the entry hall airy by using a bright white and light reflecting gray on the walls. It helps to be sure that windows in the space reflect a nice afternoon sun which we took advantage of here.

Seriously cool... This room was dank and dark and the homeowners didn't even use it! We like the industrial look of the exposed ductwork but we needed to brighten the space so it got a coat of white paint when we did the ceiling. The show stopper of course is that fireplace! We used Benjamin Moore...

The 1980's called and they asked for their kitchen to be returned! So we did... The budget didn't give us a lot of room, but good paint goes a long way! To give the layout an updated look we used 2 colors which also helped to lighten the amount of cabinetry on top. years of great maintenance...

Big windows never go out of style, to take advantage of the bright sunny aspect we used a bright off white on the upper cabinets to maintain that light airy feel. the lowers have been painted with a darker gray, adding a statement to the space.

This room has been updated with ceiling and wall paint and neutral laminate floors. This is a bright space that would function well as an office or bedroom. We gave the new homeowners latitude by staying neutral during the staging.
