Removing Walls and Re­Purposing Spaces: This Mediterranean- style home, originally built in the 1940's, is located in Glendale, California. As shown above in the original floor plan, the kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry areas were separate and fragmented, creating a congested layout. Comparing the floor plans you will see that we removed two interior walls to open up the kitchen area.
