The upper and lower ends are made of mild steel to facilitate cutting, drill-tapping, or welding.

The railing ends, as well as the upper and lower rails, should be painted with a satin finish, (not gloss), in a color suitable to the room decoration. Balusters and posts are for indoor use only.
