The trenching to allow standing water to have a place to go. Generally 12-24" deep as well as wide. Every drainage syst has different requirements and needs.

The trench is then lined with a thin, but durable Geo-textile landscape fabric and perforated 4-6" drainage pipe.

The hole trench is then filled with a 1" wash gravel to ensure the water drops right down to the tile. There is just enough room left from the gravel to the top of the lawn to lay a thin layer of drainage topsoil, seed, and straw.

The yard is put back together and topsoil, seed, and straw has been applied.
