Greenwich Residence
The project is the complete renovation of a traditional home that also includes the addition of a contemporary wing. The owner enjoys all styles of architecture and wanted to create an entertaining and family space that was open, dramatic and strongly connected to the exterior landscape. This contemporary space, which became referred to as "the barn", houses a central open kitchen with flanking dining and seating areas. The barn opens up to the east and west with two-story steel windows, capturing the movement of the sun throughout the day. The original rooms of the home were renovated throughout and a traditional extension was also added on the opposite end to blend with the original structure. The project was featured in House & Garden Magazine.
