This semi-rural half acre estate overlooking a lake was due for a complete transformation. An entire hillside of trees were removed to increase fire safety. This offered not only view enhancement, but also the creation of a large livable, and playable space. Water conscious plantings, drip irrigation, and artificial turf maximized sustainability. The deer in this area are aggressive eaters, however the owners wanted to keep their property fenceless. Which placed significant requirements on plant selection.
