This is the Hall bathroom in a house with three full bathrooms and two powder rooms. This was an outdated awkward space that was desperately in need of an update! From the 1940’s pink & black tile to the linoleum floor and tight space, it had to go! Again without doing a complete gut we managed to make this one a bright spacious looking and modernized useful room.
We had a professional tile painter come in to remove the outdated soap dishes, toothbrush holders, and broken towel bars and paint all of the tile white. In just two days, he transformed the outdated tile into a new looking bright and cheery modern space. Ten years later, it still looks just as good!
Next, we changed the hinges on the door so it would swing against the wall instead of into the room-HUGE impact! Then, we installed beautiful new flooring: a white pebble stone tiled floor. We then replaced the sink and toilet with Kohler’s Memoir series, a one piece toilet and the oval pedestal sink and faucet, still a large bowl but doesn’t take up the visual space that the old rectangular wall sink with metal legs managed to do. A new large mirrored medicine cabinet, a vent fan and modern lighting added to the new brightness. A storage cabinet was also installed in the empty wall space behind the shower, just a kitchen wall cabinet recessed into the wall. This room is painted a resplendent cabbage green to finish off this bathroom’s rejuvenation!
