Harbor Haven
How do you design a home no one will live in? Because this property is used only for staff – and overflow guests from the main house – there was no one specific we were designing it for. It was quite a challenge. Inspiration hit when we chose a Goldilocks approach.
We crafted a unique personality and feel for each of the five bedrooms, ranging from soft and serene to vibrant and sexy. Anyone staying for the weekend will be able to find a room that is "just right" for them and the experience they wish to have.
Although each bedroom is different, they are united by a color palette inspired by the shifting hues of the light on the harbor. Tones range from misty morning grays, sandy beiges and lemony creams to sunrise roses, spring greens and watery blues. Natural textures of sisal, cotton, and linen contrast with sleek lines and surfaces to keep things fresh and modern. Goldilocks, welcome to the Hamptons!
