I photographed this project for Pacifica Landscape Works. The project received the 2009 BCLNA Landscape Award of Excellence and the 2011 Gold Award for Free Form Pools from the Master Pool Guild Award.
This was a huge job to photograph. A two day shoot. We shot in July on what was the hottest day ever recorded in Vancouver, mid 30'sC. Some of the electric system was not yet fully operational so some auxiliary lighting was needed. On one of the last shots I put up 14 lights. I really wanted some detail in the trees at the back and some small lights to bring out details of the plants around the terrace and up the slope. The last shot was recorded at 10:04pm. A long day because we were there very early too. Great colours of so many things in this winning design. It deserved hard work to capture the images and do it justice.
