Wood flooring was replaced by durable wood-look porcelain tile. Desk area was taken out and replaced by a custom made drop zone. The existing built-in pantry was demolished to make room for new pantry cabinets on both sides of the fridge with pull out trays for easy food storage. Original cabinets were kept, adding carpentry and refinished in an off-white. Island was ripped out and moved creating large entertaining feature with plenty of seating for family and friends! The custom made butcher block countertop was hand made by a local artisan and worth every penny and long wait! (That was direct feedback from homeowner!)
