Heritage Roofing & Conservation Sky Lights
This impressive building in Rastick, Brighouse dates back to the 1850’s and was in need of some tender loving care!
The project included stripping off existing roof slates, relaying reclaimed Welsh blue slate, installing new hip tiles and hip irons, replacing all lead and upgrading existing insulation by adding new rockwool insulation between trusses.
The project also included the installation of six Neo conservation style roof lights along the ridge line which look beautiful on heritage / conservation type projects. Weighing approx. 200 kilo each, these windows proved a challengeas they had to be carefully hoisted into position.
With the typically wet and windy summer weather hampering installation Martin and his team worked hard to ensure the job was completed on time!
