HighTimber Project

These Grapevine homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt like home in Louisiana with a lived-in and comfortable space that’s been there since the house was built. We brought in plenty of drawers for storage, and open areas for displaying brightly colored dishes and glasses. Varied heights for the upper cabinets provide dimension, drawing the eye upward. Multiple sources of light include: recessed lights, pendants over the island, lights in the upper display cabinets and under-cabinet lighting.

A marble basket-weave backsplash in greys and white provide a soft accent to the white cabinets and dark grey soapstone counters. The backsplash showcases a focal point for the kitchen along the main wall housing the cooktop and stainless steel venthood. High-end Thermador appliances contribute to the value of the home as well as the cook’s desire to work and spend time in her new kitchen.
