This new house and ADU on a corner lot in East Austin involves an artful orchestration of space and program on a narrow footprint with significant slope and a large heritage tree. Views and daylight are brought into the home through a variety of thoughtful apertures. The home supports the owners love for cooking and entertaining with a generous kitchen, central island, and walnut-clad bar area. A multi-panel sliding door opens wide, expanding the dining area out onto the covered deck with fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Visible from the back porch, a narrow lap pool slips into the side yard, completing this compact oasis.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the project achieved a 5 star Austin Energy Green Building Rating and was published in the 2025 Homes Issue of Eastside Magazine.
