While this building’s soaring open spaces and windows are extraordinary, the story is anything but. Because Geobarns’ roots are deep in agricultural buildings, we are always working with farm families and producers who, in addition to the well known challenges of making a living in agriculture, are taking on the challenge of succession and long-term planning for their families and their land.

We were delighted to build this lovely farm home for the next generation of a long-term farming family literally in the middle of a working farm. The home overlooks a duck pond and is surrounded by corn fields, apple orchards, and blueberry fields along the Connecticut river. The home owner combined an eclectic mix of farm house décor, rustic surfaces, rich woods, and cottage-style comfort in a home that delivers the experience of true farm living in summer and ski-lodge atmosphere in winter. We're proud of all of our projects, but this one ranks very high in our hearts.
