This is the living room of a vacant house that I staged. The shape of the room and the furniture I had to work with presented a orientation challenge. When in doubt, go diagonal!

My plan is to paint the cabinets white to tie in with the very white ornate back splash in the first picture. I want to replace the chipped tile counter top with slate tiles. To tie in with the slate, I plan to pick a color from the slate and paint the island with that color to tie everything...
