we framed the wall with 2"x4"s, installed backerboard and installed Eldorado stacked stone with barn beam mantle.

We removed the existing stone on fireplace, added a bullnosed flagstone hearth with flagstone surround, with custom trim work by Twinbrook Construction

I took off the mantle, matched the stone and mortar color and extended up to ceiling and added barn beam mantle
