industrial steel drawer pulls
new series of drawer pulls secured with brass.
This set of pulls was influenced by local heavy industrial design- including the Golden Gate Bridge (1933), the Marinship, Sausalito Liberty ships (1942-5) and the industrial era cities (SSF) and shipbuilding centers (Mare Island) that arose here in Northern CA and from which era I constantly find a rich source of materials and inspirations for repurposing and reinterpretation.
The lore of shipbuilding, the rise of new welding techniques and the greatness of American WWII era industrial design and innovation influenced each of these pieces.
Special bulk order pricing available.
Solid stainless steel, brass, aircraft cable and steel. Heavy, beautiful, custom designed pieces.
I specifically chose not to use a heavy lacquer finish on these pulls, as you would find in your local hardware store, because that would diminish the antimicrobial properties of the piece.
Instead, they have a live finish and a mix of metals that help to eliminate the transference of dangerous germs in kitchen/bath, including E-coli O157:H7, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Staphylococcus, Clostridium difficile, influenza A virus, adenovirus, and fungi.
Dimensions: 6" L x 1" H x 3/4" D OR 4" L x 1" H x 3/4" D
Shown mounted with brass spacers- can be flush mounted.
