Infinity Pool & Pool Pavilion

Fine Finishes working in symphony with Heavy Construction

With some creative planning, design, and construction, we transformed a steep downhill backyard into a wonderfully landscaped, five-star hotel pool that can be used for both entertainment and exercise.

An engineered hillside supports the Infinity pool, comprised of 110 concrete piers and 30 concrete retaining walls. The swimming pool sits isolated on 21 concrete piers, utterly independent of the retaining walls that surround it. And instead of using soil as back-fill, lightweight Geofoam blocks were used to fill the voids under the pool and enable the engineers to diminish the surcharge forces on the walls.

The project’s finishes include a full outdoor kitchen, including a kegerator, two cedar trellises, a BBQ with cabinetry, a fire pit, and a pool pavilion with a fully enclosed glass steam room. The project has many WI-FI controlled amenities, e.g., roof skylights, hot tub, and outdoor sound and lighting system. The pavilion is nicely finished, in part with a highlight of unique floor tile imported from Morocco.
