The focus of this project was to filter the harsh lighting from direct sun exposure without detracting from the expansive view. The use of a non-operable shade in the angled window reduced glare and improved insulation year round. Cordless honeycomb shades were used in all other windows in the space due to their versatility. The shades in the upper windows may be left down to improve light filtration; however their compact size leaves the panoramic views unobstructed when not in use.
