This Conifer home required more than a typical siding replacement, it required correcting the underlying structure to ensure a compliant and long-lasting installation.

The existing exterior included ThermaPly sheathing, which does not meet James Hardie installation requirements. To properly prepare the home, we removed the existing layer and installed 7/16” OSB sheathing, creating a solid and compliant substrate for the siding system.

System Upgrade Included:

* Replacement of non-compliant sheathing with 7/16” OSB
* Installation of a proper substrate for fiber cement siding
* Full James Hardie siding system installation

* Boothbay Blue siding (Statement Collection)
* Iron Gray trim for bold contrast and clean lines

The result is a modern mountain exterior that not only looks updated, but is built to perform correctly in Colorado’s climate. This project highlights the importance of proper preparation and adherence to manufacturer specifications, not just the final appearance.
