James HardiePlank | Light Mist | Silver Spring, MD

This client in Silver Spring, Maryland was having issues with roof leaks and the wood siding on their home was rotting. Additionally, the home was not very energy efficient. We remedied the siding issues by replacing the wood siding with Hardiplank 7” lap siding in the James Hardie Light Mist color. James Hardie siding is much easier to maintain and will last much longer without experiencing issues such as rotting or peeling. The roof was replaced with CertainTeed Landmark Architectural shingles with ice, a water shield underlay, and an aluminum drip edge around the perimeter. We also replaced the front door with a Provia legacy series door. Twenty-two of the windows were replaced with Weatherlok 3900 Series windows. We replaced 22 of windows on the home with WeatherLok windows that are energy efficient and then installed James Hardie Arctic White trim. The hanging outdoor pendent was replaced with a polished solid brass and clear glass lighting fixture.

We replaced the rotting and broken wooden roof railing with low maintenance PVC colonial hand railing to complete the Williamsburg Colonial style look of the rest of the house.

We replaced the garage siding with HardiePlank siding in the Light Mist color, which is similar to a light gray. The siding and roofing replacements improved the exterior appearance of the home.
