There was a house originally in this location that was outdated; our clients came to us after already having purchased the property and the existing residential structure had already been removed. It was a larger property, more so than we normally see. We had to figure out the best way to make the most of that space. Our first thought was: How are we going to site this home? We spent lots of time on the property trying to determine how to site and position all of the different elements to take advantage of every view and every tree, but also how to create buffers and provide a sense of intimacy and privacy. This home is in an existing community of homes so we attempted to made sure that the home sits very comfortably in this setting, within the neighborhood, and among other homes in the area. With the help of our client’s vision; after already having found the property and removed the house, they were able to see the value of their property.
