Jane Lockhart Interior Design, California Dreaming

A family’s love of travel to Europe and California lead to a major renovation of this suburban home. After living in their home for 30 years, this family was ready for a new, dreamy renovation. Even though their home is in the suburbs of Toronto, the homeowners wanted a home that reflected their love of travel, especially California, where life is lived seamlessly, indoors and out.

The dining room almost shimmers with rich fabrics of velvet and silk. The transitional style of the custom, dark-stained, maple table and sideboard ground the room.
