Larson-Juhl’s Jepara collection features hand applied Capiz shells harvested in a small fishing village in Indonesia. Capiz is a plentiful and unique translucent shell that, when layered on a stick of moulding, provides a special look for the picture frame industry. The shells are hand applied on the front and back surfaces of two elegantly simple profiles. To accentuate the reflection of light and draw attention to the framed object, a subtle bevel is incorporated on the face of Jepara’s profiles. Well suited for beach and wedding photographs, Jepara offers versatility to complement any art style.
