Jewel Box City Garden

A small garden in University Park (Dallas) Texas was modernized with fun and bold sculptural forms, including a cloud pruned hedge and carved boxwoods throughout. The entry has a small, intimate shade garden and the driveway was re-poured and stained a french grey color and scored in a diagonal pattern with a banded edge to serve as a terrace/patio. It is now an extension of the space, used for entertaining during parties and a play space for kids. The garden is now an intimate, tiny jewel box for the homeowners. The back yard has synthetic grass which was recessed and surrounded by a custom, rusted 1/4" steel edge to hold the raised beds planted with carved boxwoods surrounded by black tejas gravel.
