Key Biscayne Residence Decor
The sole idea and concept for this space was to boast a modern, comfortable and colorful environment using vivid art and subtle textures through a space full of light and white walls.
DIDA Home paid special attention to the home's clean and architectural lines to incorporate their customized pieces, such as the geometric entry console and functional modular media cabinetry, adding an artful and modern edge to the home. Furnishings are mainly from Italian brands and their colors were thoughtfully chosen in shades of blue and taupe to maintain neutrality. Linens, satins, leathers and organic materials, such as woods, stone and glass were included in all rooms to add rich texture and comfort. Innately drawn to an organic modern aesthetic, DIDA Home captured elements of green from the exteriors thanks to the home's abundant windows. Greenery was also brought into the home's entry, kitchen, and dining room.
White marble floors played an essential role to complement the white walls and display the client's newly acquired and vivid abstract art in each room. The art was jointly selected by the owners and DIDA Home during Art Basel in Miami and throughout different art fairs in the United States. Artwork was also created by the team's in-house carpentry wood shop, in form of a dark wood paneled wall in the dining room blended with asymmetrical mirrored lines.
The exteriors were just as important as the interiors of the home for the owners. To maintain continuity, the same palette of whites and grays with blue accents were used in the exterior living space. A comfortable sitting area on the deck was created with an oversized umbrella for protection against the sun during the day. A blue neon light was specially curated for the home that illuminates from the pool at night, giving a modern edge to the outside patio.
With the owners' telecommuting professions in mind, two bedrooms were transformed into office spaces with comfortable Roche Bobois leather sofas, attractive office desks and modern shelving to boost productivity.
