This is a before and after photo array. It started with a 1970's handrail system. I started with the demolition taking out the Travertine Tile. I felt that the medallion should be saved. Then removed the Floating Laminate Flooring from the Stair Treads. Note: Never put anything on stair treads that are not glued or cemented down! I saved the old railing during construction for a safety rail until I hung the new rail. All new material was installed Prefinished for customer convenience. This staircase is solid Maple treads, newels, rail with Wrought Iron balusters.
