A project in Kirkland a suburb of Seattle. The design of the project focused on providing different programmatic uses for the family of 4 and their dog. The result was a contemporary update of the landscape and exterior of their home. To extend the use of the back yard after the sunset, landscape lighting and a gas firepit were installed. An outdoor covered porch houses a built-in outdoor grill for year-round grilling. The outdoor rooms were successful as the family treats their back yard as a "Staycation".
