This kitchen lacked natural light and felt rustic and cold. We added two tall windows flanking the new custom range hood. For functionality, we styled the floor with a washable runner, added a pot filler, and added two sconces for more lighting. We updated the cabinet hardware to a warm, age brass and replaced the faucet hardware with sleek matte black. We elevated the island by staining it a rich dark brown to compliment the brass and eliminate the rustic feel. To top it off, we replaced the backsplash with handmade zellige tile.
