These clients approached Ottawa General Contractors with the hope of making better use of their current space. A wall was removed making room for the kitchen to move to where the separated living room was, the sitting area was the existing small kitchen and the dining room now has a common element to rest of the space - the two sided fireplace.

The new kitchen is large and open with lots of natural light, plenty of storage, upgraded appliances and beautiful finishes. The white shaker style doors are casual and contemporary with all the comforts of a current kitchen - soft-close doors and drawers, dove-tailed construction, pot and pan drawers, a designated cook book area & wine storage to name a few. The double oven and beautiful gas range allow this kitchen to be a pleasure to prepare meals for family and friends.

The homeowners knew what they wanted and were great to work with. They had a great sense of humor and were open to ideas. The Super White granite and white subway tile were a favorite of OGC designer Jacqueline Ward, the clients were enthusiastic about the herringbone pattern. The result is a beautiful transitional style and smart design that will work for this family for many years to come.
