Kitchens & Bathrooms - Cosmetic Updates
Our client had owned this property as a rental for many years and when she decided to downsize, she moved in but she felt it needed some love, especially if she wanted to sell in a few years.
We got to work to update the flooring on the main floor, replacing the existing vinyl tiles that were separating everywhere with new luxury vinyl plank in a timeless colour.
Two full bathrooms and one powder room were freshened up with new flooring, tile, vanity, mirror, toilet and paint. The ensuite bathroom also got a new shower door, and grab bars at the bath for safety.
For this client, we did a few extra things as a surprise for her - we scrapped the living room ceilings, added pot lights and painted the entire main floor in the perfect griege colour.
The fireplace also got a makeover with white paint to match the kitchen and trim throughout - what a difference!
The biggest change was to the kitchen. We kept the galley style layout so as not to lose any storage space and avoid taking down walls which kept us on budget.
The stove hadn't previously been vented properly and so we ensured it was vented to the outside by adding the venting within a bulkhead that goes unnoticeable in the space.
White cabinetry, floating shelves, quartz countertops and white subway tile made this space bright and inviting. Our wonderful client has said it makes such a difference to cook in new bright space and we've made her house a home now!
