This kitchen island had typical corbels (decorative brackets) to support the heavy granite top. To clean up that look and create a more contemporary environment, we opened the island walls in order to install strong, metal support brackets that are now hidden. Replacing a typical track lighting with individual crystal pendants also improves a clean, more contemporary space.
