Knotty pine sapwood is yellowish white to cream colored, while the heartwood is reddish brown to creamy tan. Knotty pine has a mixed broad to tight grain. Knotty pine is classed as soft and lightweight. We use only the higher quality grades of knotty pine lumber for our products.
