Kona Residence
Blessed with a beach-side site in Hawaii and influenced by the architecture of India, we wanted to build first and foremost a garden with rooms of exquisite luxury so that one could live outside. We laid out a series of courtyards designed for flowers and people alike. The home is to be a dream of beauty with walls, stone, pillars melting into flowers, climbers, fruit and herbs.
As one arrives, a temple-like entry gate sits behind the colonnade with golden doors from India. In the ‘garden court’, stone-clad pavilions seem to wrap around the landscaping, with the focal point being the Grand Pool Pavilion.
In the end, we wanted to develop a home where, at every turn of every corner, the residents know that they are living inside beauty.
