This addition to a charming 30 year old log home in Chester, Virginia added a family room, dining area, rear entrance, and first floor master suite. The addition used log siding to make the new flow seamlessly with the old house. An existing addition that was not useful and detracted from the character of the log house was removed as a part of the project.
The project includes clerestory windows in the living space, a rustic cedar lined porch, and rough cedar columns and beams.
